Constitution

Our objectives are that through the medium of an annual procession and fete, to improve the quality of life of residents of Radcliffe on Trent by providing a focal event for charitable organisations working for the benefit of the community.

We are here to provide an opportunity for local charitable organisations to publicise their activities and raise funds for their own objectives and take practical steps to enable community members who are in any way disadvantaged to participate as fully as possible in all events of the day.

The Carnival’s main objectives are:
  • to improve the quality of life of residents of the village of Radcliffe on Trent and help “bind the community” by providing a (fun!) focal event;
  • to raise funds for charitable/voluntary organisations working for the benefit of the community with all funds raised are returned to community activity;
  • to provide an opportunity to local charitable/voluntary organisations to publicise their activities and to raise funds for their own objectives;
  • to do all of this in a way that is inclusive of, and accessible by, all members of the Radcliffe on Trent community.

These objectives have been met over the past few years, raising over £12,000 between 2013 and 2015 for re-investment into local community groups and organisations.

We only accept stallholders, entertainment, services etc. from local voluntary or charitable organisations, not professional businesses. We receive many enquiries each year from businesses wishing to take a stall however these are not available
